Today, they finally began excavating our first house. We are all unbelievably excited! Josh thinks that the foundation and subfloor will be in by the time we get back from vacation next week. We will have to see!
The house is beautiful. It will be 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It will have vaulted ceilings in the kitchen and living room and a main floor laundry. We picked sunny maize for the siding color and wedgewood blue for the shutters. It will have a large front porch that we can put a porch swing on and an aggregate driveway. The lot is nice and level, and over a quarter of an acre! We really think that, God willing, we will be here for many years.
